Moving on

It's sad to see officemates-friends go. in over 15 years of working, I've seen my fair share of staff movements, including my own. Right now, the office is seeing its bit of both short- and long-staying people go. Notably, Ives, my jukebox-equivalent of an account manager and erstwhile mixed doubles badminton partner, is finally moving on. Makes me wonder when my time's up. It's been 4 years since I've moved in and some part of me is yearning for fresher air. Yeah, there's this comfort zone that sort of lulls me into complacency but seeing some of my friends move on makes me want to see what else I can pursue. Even my long-dormant siblings have suddenly joined the fray and egging my mom to allow them to work overseas. Tsk, tsk. Something to ponder on during my Batanes trip. 15 days and counting...

SHE SAID: Hey, Og! Tell me about it. I've been with Burnett for 5 years now. Ah well, such is life's decisions.

Tell us about your Batanes trip, okay? We also want to explore and discover that part of the world.

hey friend, the reason you would want to move on is because you're not contented anymore and the right time will present itself, you'll see. sometimes complacency is a good thing if you like what you're doing. wag kang padala sa mga ibang umaalis :)

a little thought from somebody who stayed in the same company for 12 years :D
