Growing older means casting off a lot of heroes I've regarded highly when I was younger and more naive. What remains are people who've largely lived lightly on the land, which includes Wendell Berry. he didn't just wrote incredibly wonderful prose, he lived what he wrote about. His poems and books are inspired by his unbroken bond to the land. In this day and age of controversial AI data centers taking over our lands and our resources, his writings take on even more meaning. Thank you, Wendell. See you on the other side.
