Was on a photo assignment over in Pampanga and driving at over 130kph at NLEX last sat when I felt a slight clunk. Then a high-pitched sound. My timing belt? I had it replaced about 2 months ago so I ruled it out. Made me worried if I can go back without mishap but turning off the CD player, prayed to my guardian angel for safety. Got to finish my assignment and was home earlier than expected. My mekaniko told me yesterday I was lucky the car didn't give up on me as the bolt on the tension adjuster came loose and was missing. The alternator belt was worned-out smooth. Call it a miracle. As my buddies B2 and Tata both said, God is good. And thank God for guardian angels.

Miracle on the road
