A lot of people, friends included, says they can't feel the Christmas spirit. I'm inclined to say the same, what with no bonus this time around. But the homily from our office mass reminded me that Christmas is not about money. Rather it is about poverty. For the Savior was born not into plenty but from extreme poorness, in a stable instead of a palace. While it's nice to have material possessions, if we get down to the bottom of things, they're not the things that make one truly happy. Even just feeding a stranger or making a child smile is priceless. In my seeming lack, I do have a lot of things to be thankful for like health, family and friends. All glory belongs to the Creator.
