Picture featured! The DPP edition

This comes as a great Christmas present to me -- being featured in the Digital Photographer Philippines Magazine December issue. It was almost five months since I was included in a photo assignment in Coron, Palawan, but the wait was well worth it.

When Nino Carandang showed me the print outs a month ago, I was happy to see three of my images included in the article so I was floored when Ironwulf texted me while I was in Cebu last week, telling me the pictures were B-I-G.I  was even more surprised to see the issue yesterday where I have 4 big images and 2 small ones (actually 3 small ones since one of my images was credited to someone else, but what the heck).T he article by our team leader, Norman Aquino, was excellent, mirroring what really transpired during our trip.

The prevailing weather when we were there made me a bit apprehensive as to my output. not to mention that most of my teammates have a headstart in photography (I really got serious just 1 1/2 year ago :-)), I really have no big expectations to come out of the trip other than to gain more experience, to learn to be more comfortable shooting with a group, to learn how to shoot under the pressure of a real, honest-to-goodness photo assignment, and most of all, a stash of images from a place I've never been to before.

It's really a great blessing just to be included in the trip, much less have my captures published alongside my more veteran team-mates. Thanks DPP, thanks Norman, Jerry, Dave and Glenn. Thank you Seair and Sony-Ericsson.  And of course to the Man upstairs.
