Seair InFocus on Lagal[og]

OGGIE'S SOUTH COTABATO.   Oggie ramos saw a photo of this waterfall near Lake Sebu in a travel exhibit and decided that he must see it for himself. He wasted no time getting to the lake in South Cotabato, saw his waterfall, and took this photo on the right. The vibrancy of the water as it sprays and splashes in all direction before it plunges down the pool, the mossy green and grey steel rocks, the light pouring in from above, transport the viewer to a 3D of one of the most magical places on earth. It now makes up his treasured collection of photographs.

Ramos is an advertising and events conceptualist and copywriter who has fallen in love with photography, a hobby he has increasingly spent time on the past three years. His works have been featured five times in the readers gallery of Outdoor Photographer online this year, at Digital Camera UK, at Digital Photographer Philippines magazine. he has also shot for advertising clients such as Pilipinas Shell.

Ramos calls himself a “nature freak” and loves the off-the-beaten tracks. He’s traveled all over the country from Batanes and the Cordilleras in the north to South Cotabato, Siquijor, and Anawangin in Zambales. His lenses are often focused on landscapes, seascapes and skyscapes, and lately travel portraiture. “I’ve gotten repeated comments about how my photos tell a story. I was never interested in images that are just beautiful. I want the images to give the viewer a slice of the experience,” says Ramos.
