Manchester: What’s On at The Printworks

The Printworks is one of Manchester’s entertainment hubs, and if you’re planning a trip to the city then you’re likely to want to pay it a visit at some point.

Travelodge have hotels in Manchester city centre, so you don’t need an excuse to spend a few days enjoying all that the city has to offer. With low cost double and family rooms available, staying over in Manchester is very affordable.

You’ll find The Printworks to be really conveniently located in the city centre, just a short walk from Victoria station. With its myriad of eateries, nightspots, and a cinema, it’s the perfect place to head after dark for an everything under one roof evening out.

Food
When it comes to food, you’ll be spoilt for choice. You’ll find American eateries Hard Rock Café and Henry J Beans are great for grills and burgers, whereby Lloyds No 1 offers British fare with flair. Papa G’s (Greek) and Café Rouge (French) cover the Mediteranean angle, and if you fancy a taste of the Orient you can choose between sushi at Wasabi and noodles at Wagamama. Chiquitos is a fantastic place to head for Mexican fans, and lovers of spice will also find a popular Nando’s restaurant. And last but not least, a trip to Waxy O’Connor’s offers classic, rustic cooking from the emerald isle – and a great craic!

If you want to make your money go further in Manchester – and let’s face it, who doesn’t – why not choose to eat on a specials night at one of The Printworks restaurants. On Tuesday nights it’s Steak Night at Lloyds and on Wednesdays it’s Orange Wednesdays at Henry J Beans where you can get 2 for 1 on burgers and wraps when you show your cinema tickets. Fancying a ruby murray? Why wait till Friday when it’s Curry Club on Thursday nights at Lloyds - and those who fancy tea at Tiger Tiger on a Friday will get 50 per cent off the a la carte menu after 5pm!

Drink
Those who want to skip the food and just enjoy a few drinks in a relaxed atmosphere will find some fantastic places to whet their whistle in The Printworks. Fans of live music should coincide their trip with the last Friday of the month when live bands play The Printworks Pump Yard. If you miss out on that then you can see live acoustic artists at the Hard Rock Café every Wednesday.

A Movie
