Nope, I ain't writing about Jacko, am talking abut Michael Mcdonald and his spectacular "Motown." Finally scored it at Tower after missing it at Music One at Greenbelt. It's worth every peso, from "I Heard it Through the Grapevine" to "Since I Lost My Baby." In between are chock-full of gems such as "You Are Everything," "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours," "I'm Gonna Make You Love Me," "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," "All in Love is Fair," "I Want You," "I Believe When I Fall in Love It Will Be Forever," and the great "Ain't Nothing But the Real Thing." After almost a week of hankering for a copy of this album and thinking if it's worthwhile plunking my hard-earned money on, I must say I have no regrets. I practically reeled off all the tracks. If this were a double or triple CD collections, I would still buy it. Ang galing!
It was refreshing to hear Michael sing hits I first heard from other artists like Stevie Wonder, Sergio Mendes, and hold your breath, Donny and Marie Osmond! I love their "Ain't Nothing But the Real Thing" back in the 70s and hearing Michael sing this brings back a lot of childhold memories. Sobra galing talaga!
