Family and friends first

Nope, ain't talking about those marketers who hound shoppers in major malls and whose questionable activities have been subject of numerous exposes. Am talking about my adoptive family who have seen me through good and bad times. Played good games and had a blast with my Leap 'n Smash group last Sat, capped by Al's bday celeb. Never had that much red wine in quite a long time. But seeing my adoptive family, especially Mom Loury, made driving (you can call it crawling) for 2 1/2 hours just going to Alabang worth it. It's flattering when Al introduced me as a longtime family friend, hehehe, What more can I say.

Also had a wonderful lunch with longtime buddy, Lily, who just called out of the blue to have a Via Mare meal. Hey friend, I hope you finally found your happiness. Kahit binigla mo naman ako with your out-of-the-blue invites, oks lang. Yeah, you disrupted my Mondragon revelry, hahaha, but it's nice to see ya again after a loooong time.

It's a whirlwind weekend, a bit costly and tiring but it's worth it. I don't know about next weekend kasi the Leap 'n Smash guys entered me into the tourney. Akala nila magaling ako, hahaha. But I still have until midweek to decide whether to join anyway.

P.S.  Finally got a copy of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy boxed set! A must-have with all the crisp details and great sound plus extras. The packaging itself is deceiving, matte finish pa, parang orig, hahaha. Earlier, also got rare finds like DVD-9 copies of Orson Welle's "Citizen Kane," Charlie Chaplin's "The Circus," "You Can't Take It With You," Hitchcock's "Psycho," "Dial M for Murder," and "Vertigo."  Just wondering when do I get the day-off to watch them, hehehe.  Ain't complaining, just wondering po.
