Corregidor: War memorial

The war memorial altar. The circular shape is patterned after a wreath, a symbol of the Fil-American victory. Lit by skylight during the day from the overhead dome, it bears the inscription: "Sleep my sons, your duty done.S leep in the silent depths of the sea or in your bed of hallowed sod until you hear at dawn the clear low reveille of God." The war memorial sculpture can be seen in the background, located near the fringe overlooking Manila and the Bataan peninsula.
