Thanks Lori for dropping by so often. Your reaction about the harbor view pics remind me of the greater purpose for this blog. Had a wonderful chat with another friend based overseas, si Emz, and we talked about writing/blogging about where we are right now, perchance to inspire people to visit the place, share the experience.
All too often, we take things for granted. Like I wouldn't really know there's a forest in the middle of downtown Manila if I haven't read it in Augusto Villalon's column and actually going there. When I wrote about it and featured pics of the forest, I was surprised that people like Tonette (of Equitable Bank) were amazed. It's a good feeling that somehow, we can make our blogs an instrument to reach out to other people. Whether it's just reminding overseas friends of what they're missing back home or promoting what our country has to offer to prospective visitors, if I can just reach out and convince even just one person to discover more about the Philippines, I'd be one happy fellow.
HARBOR VIEW - Wandered to the bay area with great pals B2 & D2 last Sat and rediscovered the oh-so-famous Manila Bay sunset. The shrine of Jesus at the Reclamation Area is a wonderful touch to the landscape. All too often, we get caught up in the malling that we forget there are wonderful things to enjoy for free. Anyway, am also glad that despite the weekend traffic at Roxas Boulevard, people are flocking to the Baywalk. Nice to rediscover the sumptuous food and ambience of Harbor View. It's been years since I've been there but it's nice to find the surroundings brightly lit and littered with other restaurants.
P.S. - Get well Q2! Keep in touch, Lori & Emz! TYVM B2 & D2!
