Holiday rush

Wouldn't you know it, it's just a few days before Christmas. As far as the work pace is concerned, nothing much has changed. A few clients are rushing, cramming things before the Christmas and new year's day. Enough to make you say bah humbug. Add to the stress of getting gifts, attending reunions and parties. No wonder it's the most stressful time of the year when instead of contemplating on life, one is left with little time to even relax and meditate. Nevertheless, dressing up for the office party was a blast although I was far from contending for any of the prizes. If the 29th or jan. 2 opens up, I'd likely hie off by my lonesome to Sagada or Cagayan. To contemplate. To meditate. To think of life past. And life ahead.

Haha. Nice shot dun, sana nawala ng lng yung nakasabit sa gilid. Wow. It's nice din to go to Sagada on the said dates, the place is deserted hehehe. Wala masyadong tao so it's perfect for you to contemplate.

Just wondering, how does one start becoming a mountaineer? I have seen the previous entries with pictures. Normally I am a runner. This hobby of yours sounds interesting and fun to do. Any great advice on how to begin? http://www.kuiipo.blogspot.com

hello friends! yep, cruise, ako nga yung nasa picture. taken during our office Christmas party, i came as a croatian peasant. la lang.

hi kuiipo! tried answering your query thru your blog but wasn't able to find a response mechanism so i'm answering your question here: as a runner, you maybe interested in trail running.

it combines elements and disciplines of mountaineering and running. my personal answer to your question is: becoming immersed in caring for the mountains and learning to appreciate living if but for a moment high up there in the boondocks is a fine start for pursuing mountaineering. the only way to find out if the pursuit is for you is to try and feel whether it resonates with your vibes, i guess.

to jeff, ferdz and my other visitors, thanks and have a blessed new year ahead!
