To appease my curiosity for Bukidnon, made a side trip, hoping to see the pineapple plantations. Tough luck, as most habal-habal, multi-cab and motorella owners are hesitant to take us around. Considering the steep highway snaking through the mountains, it should not come as a surprise. In lieu of taking a look at the Mt. Kitanglad jump-off, we spent the afternoon at the Monastery of Transfiguration of the Benedictine monks. Curiously, nearly did this in 1991 but then, tragedy struck. You can say it's a 15 year wait. Anyway, stayed at Haus Malibu, a well-maintained and reasonably-priced inn located some four streets away from the church. With nothing much to do, grabbed some well-deserved rest eager and looking forward to seeing Camiguin again.
