Chinatown chicks

Oo, nag-chicks ako sa Chinatown. Doon pa sa harap ng Binondo church. But it's not what you think it is, tee-hee.T hese colorful chicks catch the attention of kids and adult churchgoers alike. Where they end up is a big mystery. Maybe, there's a better way to attract kids. But I used to recall hankering and coaxing my nanay to buy me chicks at the church yard when I was a kid. Hmmm, some things never change after all. As a WWF member, I don't condone this practice. I am compelled to add this disclaimer in anticipation of comments of animal cruelty. This post serves to document that this indeed still happens. Thanks Anne for the comment.

This screams CRUELTY TO ANIMALS! Truth is, I really don't agree to this!!!! Makes me upset like anything.

uy, ganda ng colors ng mga chicks... i have seen some to grow up and be a chicken, dun sa tabing bahay namin sa apartment, nakita kong malalaki na yung mga kulay purple na chicks dati... :)

Ang cute naman nila. Paano naging ganyan kulay? Oh, never mind - i'll research na lang.

Definitely , eye catching and worth taking photos of.

Yes, this is bad!
I saw how some children treat those chicks... I think not many survive more than a day !
