Siquijor - A blast from the past: San Isidro Labrador Convent

Not to waste the first afternoon after arriving, was off exploring San Isidro Labrador's convent. The oldest and largest of its kind in the Philippines, it is the only one marked as a national historical site in this province. The museum houses original vestments, parchments, as well as antique construction materials.

Eventually, this is the biggest Catholic Convent in the country.I remembered when I attended the fiesta there every May and we usually stayed in the convent and played hide and seek.

eric, i agree, it's really cavernous! grabe. and the walls look like they can tell so many stories of the people and events that have passed by the hallowed halls.
