Batanes • Beauty on the waves

I must admit, i'm really a landscapist at heart. Always have, always been, always will be. But Iwas gifted with the opportunity to do a cover shoot for Seair's InFlight Magazine and it would be foolish of me not to try my hand in travel portraiture, perchance to breathe new life into my photographic journey. Here's another one i took during my Batanes assignment, this time at the Chanarian rocky shore, one of my most favorite places in Batan Island. While it's tricky to walk the slippery rocks exposed by the low tide, I thought the raw appearance contrasts well with the softness of our model's features and mode of dressing.

astig! the place combined with the model... mas gumaganda ang pinas.

sya din ba yung sa previous mong photo?

ei dom! i thought so, too. it's the contrast of femininity embodied by the model and the roughness of nature as can be seen in the background. siya ang cover photo model namin. i can't show her face kasi those shots are reserved for the magazine :-)

Parang mermaid after transforming her self to human form, bids farewell to the sea heheh. drama ba? This picture can tell a story unang tingin pa lang :) Ok yun formation ng rocks. earth tone colors. Very nice ogs!

oh yeah millie, i somehow conjured up this composition with a storyline like the one you described. actually, talagang outtake ito but i felt me promise siya so i took it. glad you liked it
