Thanks (or should that be no thanks?) to the gadget of the decade, original music CDs are virtually collector/display items nowadays. The iPod has not only profoundly changed the way we listen to music, it also has changed the way we store it. I've had three generations of the iPod classic and every iteration meant more capacity than ever before. Hard to imagine that a device the size of a cassette tape (anyone younger than 15 to 18 years old would have a hard time grasping this term) can store half of my 240 gig original music CD collection stored using AIFF format, not MP3s.
With my entire original music CD collection digitized and archived in my external hard drive, my CDs are sitting on the shelf gathering dust by the day so I just thought of disposing them off at practically giveaway prices (Php70-120 for single CDs, Php for the double CDs) knowing that someone out there may want to complete his/her collection. The collection range from rare collectibles (Nina Simone, Deodato) to sugary pop (Mandy Moore); jazzy bebop (Manhattan Transfer) to blue-eyed soul (Michael McDonald in Motown 1 & 2); rather rare 70s vintage music (Carpenters and Carole King) and standards (Linda Ronstadt and Nelson Riddle Orchestra's Trilogy, Glenn Miller).
