3 Cats & A Rescue On A Busy City Street

Mira & Hobbes
Playful Calvin on my lap
I know part of street fostering as I define it is not being able to save all of my fosters.  But after hearing news about the passing of one of my older fosters, Brutus, I couldn't stand losing another again so soon.  When I passed by my kitten triplets near the corner of Pasong Tamo and Buendia last Wednesday, I got alarmed seeing Mira bloodied and raw.  I was treating her with antibiotics the past few days and she was getting better.  Now, it seems the adult cat I chased the previous day came back and got their food, in the process, messing up her body.  I knew I had to do something drastic so I called a cat-lover friend and I am so grateful he knew somebody who can send help.

The 3 kittens are now receiving medical care and nourishment as I write this so I shout out to Patrice & Ma'am Rina for the helping hand.  I've got scratches trying to contain Calvin & Hobbes who I think never ventured beyond the main road in their young lives but I am gratified.  I'll miss them but knowing they're in better hands makes me feel better.
