It's the day after Chinese New Year Eve, a time to think ahead for the year which is the Year of the Water Rabbit according to Chinese astrology. I'm rereading the works of the renowned American metaphysician, Florence Scovel Shinn, foremost of which is the book, "The Game Of Life," along with the wonderful "Your Word Is Your Wand." It's good to be reminded time and again that words whether spoken or kept in one's thoughts (or both) are powerful manifestors of 3d reality. Honestly, it's all too easy to get caught up in one's circumstances in life (in my case, the string of 'misfortunes' I had from last year to the present) that it's easier to throw in the towel and just give up. The graphic I did on Illustrator from scratch reflects one of my favorite Florence Scovel Shinn's quotes -- an acknowledgment that the tides are turning in my favor. Another is "Infinite Spirit, open great abundance for me. I'm an irresistible magnet for all that belongs to me by Divine right." And another one, "I give magical service in a magical way. I render magical service for magical pay." I still want to believe that life is magical and that I matter, even if present circumstances seem to not reflect it. There's a magical reason why I survived long Covid, among many hurdles I had last year. I am enough. I am winning. I matter.
