Sunday Sunday

Lunchtime, sun, still in the office. Oh what I'll give to just laze around, with a mug of freshly-brewed coffee in one hand, no j.o. in mind. Josh Groban, Diana Krall or Norah Jones wafting in the air. Or better yet, Ronstadt.

Now that I'm in dream mode, might as well take it as far as it can go. Wake up lying in a hammock under the trees. My (future) German Shepherd, Gio, is fetching me my loafers. It's Sunday break from the farm chores. Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong streaming from somewhere. Mozart, Bach follow afterward. Maya-mayas and tiklings joining the impromptu concert.

Inasinang inihaw na baboy, sinigang na hipon, plus manggang hilaw with bagoong, sibuyas tagalog at kamatis for kamayan-style lunch served on banana leaves and the soup straight from the palayok. The steaming rice fragrant with pandan. Fresh buko juice to wash all that good food. A short stroll in the woods with Gio and I'm ready to move from the duyan to the papag na kawayan. Ahhh, to daydream, perchance to sleep...
