Books: Of American gods

A bit sleepy but am just glad to finish Neil Gaiman's "American gods," which I consider a paean to the many things Americans probably worship -- from ancient gods to modern-day idols like the omnipresent media and the overpowering cybertechnology. Magical. Imaginative. Littered with mythical characters that are far removed from godliness and very much human. Gaiman writes with so much passion, it's contagious. Will have to rest my eyes first and decide to move on to his other works, especially "Neverwhere."
