It's mid-afternoon and feeling the heat, we momentarily took a respite from our trek. We stopped serendipitiously at the Radyo ng Bayan where we met its friendly technicians, Mang Vic and Arwin. We also got to meet its OIC, Sister Lily as well as saw off the province's tourism officer, Juliet.
Wonderful thing about Batanes is that everybody knows everybody. And that Vic and Arwin, while schooled in Manila, decided to go back to Batanes. Amazing. I guess once the place gets to you, you really get smitten by it. I know I am.
