Batanes • Raw beauty

Just want to share another snippet of my output for my Batanes assignment. In this case, it's the rugged coast of Mahatao as seen from Marlboro Hills, on  Batan Island. Even to me, a scene seemingly as mundane as a carabao grazing, can be breathtaking when viewed from this vantage point.

Great landscape. I guess these are one of those few unexploited places we have. If it weren't for the caption, one would have mistook it for a place outside the country. Take out the carabao, you'd think it's Hawaii hehe...

hi ellen. i've never been to hawaii but i've seen pictures of its coastlines. kamukha nga. i just wanted the carabao to be there para no one will mistake this beautiful coast for anywhere else but the philippines

that's diura down below, 'no? i recognize the pointed rock thingy. hay, i miss batanes! buti ka pa 3x na nakapunta!

you should definitely make it a point to go to itbayat next time. it has a different character apart from batan, totally worth the 3-hour boat ride :) actually parang the 3 major islands are really quite unique.

hi rina, yep, that's diura right there and its rocky-strewn shoreline. re: itbayat, it's really in my plans. i'll definitely come back again when seair launches its flights to itbayat. i really want to try the boat ride but lagi akong gahol sa oras kasi

early morning nga ito millie but you can already see the white surf in the distance. naku, napakaphotogenic ng mga kalabaw, kambing at baka dito. wag ka lang matipuhang habulin, hahaha
