Nightshooting Miag-ao church

Honestly, I would've loved to lay my back on the couch by Tita Linda's veranda early on but it's such a waste of opportunity not to nightshoot Miag-ao church after we got back from our trip in Dalije. At night, the church looks nothing like its morning self -- appearing dark, foreboding and imposing. good thing the side entrance gate was left open, we got in without a hitch. Ever the hungry travelers, we repaired to the 24-hour burger machine stand near the church for midnight snacks before the skies unleashed its rain. Would it be sunny the next morning? We'd find out in a few hours.

I is so neat to see your photos. How great to have this type of structure near by. Many of us are not lucky enough to be around such magnificent things. Would you like to exchange links?

hey travis! this church can be found in the somewhat distant visayan island of panay here in the philippines so i guess i'm not as lucky as you think i am in having such a beautiful structure nearby :-) but i guess i'm lucky in a sense that i got to travel and capture it for my blog readers like you. btw, i already included your blog in my bloglist :-) enjoy browsing!

thanks sidney. glad you liked it. i already liked the original colors but experimented with the white balance to come up with a more bluish tint to give it a steely appearance.

sorry, medyo too blue for me. still love the natural colors of the stone. anyway, its really refreshing to get other photos of miag-ao than the usual day shots. i guess, you had a great time in this trip bai :-)

it's ok bai. i was just experimenting because i keep seeing miag-ao the same way almost always so i tweaked the white balance to come up with an eerie, stephen king movie effect :-) we had a great time here kahit bitin. hope minsan makasama ka namin sa biyahe :-D
