I thought this trip wouldn't really make me so anxious that I can't sleep. But after only an hour of sleep, I can't summon the sandman again. I know this would impact on me the rest of the day but what the heck. Was a bit early in the domestic airport and at 3am, there's not much passenger traffic there.F inally met up with Erick d. aka le fusilier whom I only previously met in the DPP forum and YM. Not much later, Ironwulf joins us. the air trip was shorter than scheduled, and arriving early in iloilo, we were amazed with the spanking newness and impressiveness of the new airport. getting to molo via the airport shuttle (a good countermeasure against overcharging vehicle operators), we had a leisurely breakfast before finding our way to miag-ao, enroute to our host, tita linda gopez, some 40 kilometers away from iloilo city.
then, we had to find a way to spend the afternoon produtively. by a stroke of serendipity, we bumped into carlito who helped us find the impressive bugsukan falls in brgy. dalije. it was far from easy to get to the falls but the sight was well worth it. even with my flat footedness, i'm just to happy to travel and shoot again after quite a while. and happier still to travel with friends.
INFO: to get to miag-ao, ride a jeep from near molo church; fare is 40php/head, trip takes 45 minutes - 1 hour • bugsukan falls is around 30-40 minutes away from miag-ao via motorbike. motorbikes can be rented for around P300/one way.
